Storyboard Soundtrack

Mood/Music Monday

I am not a writer who is inclined to keep notes, other than perhaps a list of my characters' first and last names. However, when considering the third novel in a series, a story that has been reshaped so many times that it barely resembles its original form, I cannot be too careful. I must get the story right. I decided the best way to do that was to go through the text, and make notes of important events that must be considered both now, and in the following books to come (two more are planned).

Bloodline is a beloved story, and I'm ecstatic that I've been able to share it with a few faithful readers. I spent my day reading book 3, Broken, and found myself smiling as I scanned through the story. I am the Lorne Michaels of my own brain, so satisfaction with my work is a sound feat.

I'm excited to finish my edits for book 3 and get it in your hands. I'm also excited to possibly take a break to write a new novel, as that's my favorite way to spend time. I've been working to better balance my schedule, which has included reading and painting more. I find I'm better equipped to focus on editing when I spend a little time in Nick Horby's or Annie Dillard's head instead of my own.
